Hannah’s research interests are focused on employing environmental DNA and traditional ecological survey tools to elucidate how management and restoration efforts may alter community assemblages of coastal marine ecosystems. She is co-advised by Steve Gaines and Kathryn Beheshti. As a facet of her research, she hopes to use findings to generate best practices for future conservation and restoration projects.  Hannah is passionate about interdisciplinary, community, and student involvement in research. Previously, she has worked on projects including interferon gene dosage in mouse models of Down syndrome, The Human Trisome Project, and plant-growth promoting bacteria applications in wetland restorations, in addition to leading a systematic review of seagrass stressors in her free time.
